Scouts: Your Voice

This week Scouts had the opportunity to share their views of the troop at our annual troop in forum event. Every scout has the opportunity to influence the programme for the following year, what activities should we do more of and how and where we camp.

As a result of this year's troop in forum, we will be looking to make more opportunities to go camping, to repeat some of our most popular Friday night activities like laser battlefield as well as building some new and exciting challenges into our programme.

We also learned that most of our scouts are happy to wear uniform as long the event is right, that our subs are currently a bargain and that parent's presentation nights need a little work.

The full results are now published on the website and include an area to put any more ideas forward.

All Scouts are encouraged to take part in the decision-making process and regular Forums provide the chance for them to help in planning Troop activities. PLs have the opportunity to take a lead in organising activities and this resulted in the success of the Scouts Saturday mountain biking group.
