Last night our adventure reached new heights as we climbed high above Melrose to the top of one of the Eildon Hills. The night was clear and we were treated to a spectacular sunset over the valleys below.

After a day of walking, Scouts proved they had plenty left in the tank as they ascended the 1,300 feet to the trigpoint at the top. Scouts and Leaders supported each other to the top on what was a very warm summer evening and were well rewarded.

Our trip up the Eildon Hills has become somewhat of a pilgrimage when our group is in the area and many with stunning views, it's an experience most Scouts will not forget.

Tomorrow we're off to tackle the awesome Glentress Forest as we go Mountain Biking.
