Scouts at Summer Camp closing ceremonyUnfortunately every Summer Camp must come to an end and Summer Camp 2011 is no exception. Yair is a magical place for us and summer camp the highlight of our scouting year. Scouts and Leaders  left Scotland with memories that will never be forgotten, new skills which we will use for the rest of our lives and a feeling of camaraderie that brings home the meaning of the Scouting family.

The last day of camp is always the hardest as we're against the clock to clear the site for heading home, everyone worked really hard on yet another sunny day to strike tents, load the tractor and trailer.

Photos are now online in the photos zone and more media will be online as soon as we have the chance. There will be opportunities to feedback coming your way soon, but in the meantime you can share some thoughts via our website feedback page.

Summer Camp 2011 was made possible by the hard work of many adults and young volunteers, 3rd Washington and 1st Fatfield Scouts would like to thank the following people for their support:-
Mr Thyne for allowing us to camp on his land free of charge and generously supporting us by allowing us freedom across his estate and the use of his barn and tractor.

John Applegarth for transporting all of our gear back to Washington on his huge truck and working extremely hard with Mark to load all our camping gear as it came up from the site.
Andrew and Karen Turnbull who supported across the week (Andy pulling gear up and down the farm track to the site and Karen keeping the leaders well fed with an excellent cake selection!)

Alan Hankinson and Stephen Pybus for driving our gear to camp at the beginning of the week.

Audrey Chappell for cooking us a mountain of curry for our first night meal.
