Scouts: Outdoor Local Adventure

posted 13 Apr 2011, 13:24 by Stephen Harrison   [ updated 21 Aug 2013, 14:59 ]
This week Scouts spent their Tuesday night outdoors on Penshaw Hill. Scouts took part in a wide game and worked in teams to track leaders through the wooded area behind the monument.

After some serious running around, Scouts regrouped on the monument to total up their cards. The views looked spectacular as dusk came across the sky.

Next week we're back on track with our programme. We will be having a sausage sizzle at Fatfield, campfire songs and a lot of fun.

Wide games are outdoor games played over large areas. The games encourage young people to work as together as teams, to use their imagination and to problem solve to reach the end goal.
