Scouts: Celebrating a New Year of Adventure

This week Scouts @ St Andrews and Oxclose ushered in a new year of adventure with a huge party. Every party should have some exciting games, music and food and this was absolutely no exception.

Scouts played pass the parcel and Shane won some enormous glasses, Matty won some cards which will come in useful on the coach to France and I won nothing. A quick round of musical chairs and then we tried to grab hanging doughnuts without using our hands, a game which is suprisingly difficult as the doughnut is prone to swinging away.

Scouts @ St Andrews enjoyed the messiest game of the night as they played grab a letter. Teams and individuals took part in a fast paced series of sometimes messy challenges including dancing the robot, holding a human pyramid, having a custard pie splattered on their face and gargling pop songs. Perhaps the highlight of the night was the moment Chris took a pie to the face or for some it may have Phil's excellent job of painting up Lawrence as a clown.

Next week scouts have the chance feedback on last year's programme and take a look at what's coming up this year. It is important to the group that our young people have the opportunity to voice their opinions on our programme, activities and  how the section operates. Scouts have the opportunity to do this through annual forums, PLs forums and through our website.
