Scouts: Adventurexperts - Week 2

A second week of action packed scouting with groups out and about taking part in 6 different activity badges.

Swimmers, climbers and mechanics badges finished tonight in style with another action packed week. Swimmers took a dive at Temple Park pool to complete the remaining activities of the badge. Mechanics, with the help of expertise from Turnbull's motors, performed an MOT on a car and got properly greasy as is right for any mechanic. Climbers spent the night at Moorhouse perfecting their skills on the climbing wall.

Cyclist, photographer and chef reached the halfway point and more excitement is guarenteed. Mams of scouts doing chef's badge will be pleased to know that their son/daughters can now cook a pizza from scratch (I awarded 10 out of 10 for taste) and know not to shirk the dishes. Photographer's badge covered the basics last week like the rule of thirds and spent this week at the Quayside getting all artistic with the architecture. I'm sure the results will be fantastic when we get them online. Cyclist badge proved the most energetic as scouts peddled their way to Penshaw hill and back. Scouts have set the leaders a challenge to make the end of the ride a downhill, instead of the long hard slog from Fatfield.

Make sure you know where you need to be next week - check the list.
