Marriage is an adventure too

Yesterday, two members of our group tied in the knot. Gemma Thompson and Matthew Straker were married at St. John Boste Church  in Washington before celebrating at the Assembly Rooms in Newcastle with many family and friends.

The exceptional day was very fitting and as George Thompson, the father of the bride and our Group Chair, gave his speech; there wasn't a dry eye in the house! A very special occasion indeed.

Scouts from our Group formed a small guard of honour as the couple left the church.

Congratulations to Gemma and Matty from everyone at 3rd Washington Scouts. We thank you for you work with us in the past and wish you every blessing for the future.
