Having a blast at our sleepover
Girls and boys enjoy sleepover
Spending their first nights away of the year, 30 cubs and leaders from the St Andrews pack had a fantastic, funfilled sleepover at Ryton Masonic Hall. If you've never been to a masonic hall, they are steeped in mystery, however once you're inside it's a great place to hold a cub camp. Thanks for allowing us use of the building.

Over the weekend, cubs took the opportunity to get outdoors enjoying an afternoon walk as well as continuing the sporting theme with many Olympic events through the weekend including javelin, discus and relay races.

Huge thanks to our chef for the weekend Geoff Mason-Carr - his cooking as ever was legendary.

You can view more images from the weekend adventure in the photos zone.

The weekend was made possible by a team of volunteers who worked together to create an exciting programme of activities for the cub pack. All of the cubs were particularly well behaved all weekend and made the weekend a huge pleasure and massively rewarding for everyone. Could you give up a couple of hours to support an event like this? Find out how to volunteer at www.hls-scouts.org.uk/volunteer
