This week Cubs and Scouts who usually meet at St. Andrews joined together to check out the new Quasar Laser arena in South Shields. It was the first time older cubs joined with younger scouts to get to know each other. Twelve young people took part in the team game; playing in the dark arena in two teams, trying hard to outsmart the opposition and catching them with a laser beam!

Cubs moving to scouts will enjoy regular Friday night activities as part of the Group's programme of providing diversionary activities to young people in their teens as often as possible.

Last month older scouts tried out the next a activity up from Quasar, called Laser Battlefield which has quickly become a firm favourite among scouts. You can read about our adventure here.

3rd Washington Scouts regularly promote transition between each of the three group sections, later this summer all sections of the group will work together at the beach for a group fun night.
