Beavers, Cubs and Scouts took part in the Christingle Service at St. Andrews this weekend. Kina Saunders led the service which encouraged everyone to take some time out to enjoy the peace of Christmas. Over 130 people packed the church many of them Scout families.

Young were  involved in the service as Scott, Sarah, Nathan and Malcolm read from the bible and led prayers. Malcolm sang a solo to lead the candle-lit hymn Silent Night, a proud moment for the Group. Well done Malcolm!

After the service, many scouts and their families enjoyed a hot drink and some social time before braving the fresh snow fall outside.

3rd Washington Scouts are proud of their involvement in their local community. We encourage all young people to explore their faith and through family events like Christingle, enjoy 'doing their duty'.
