Beavers Scout enjoys Sandcastle Building at the Beach

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts joined together this week for fun in the sun at South Shields Beach.

We mixed up the sections into groups and enjoyed activities through the night before hot dogs and a drink.

As our young people played rounders, Frisbee, dune jumped and built sand castles, everyone made some new friends from other sections.

Dune jumping was certainly spectacular as some Scouts dared to try somersaults and spins. More within my capability was the sandcastle competition ran by Kingfisher which allowed Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to get creative and the results (which you can see in the photos zone) were castles fit for kings and queens.

3rd Washington Scouts provides adventure for young people aged 6 to 14 in the North and West of Washington. The group is made up of an active Beaver colony, two busy Cub packs and two thriving Scout troops. Find out more
