Because of the generosity of the Co-operative's Community Fund, leaders from all sections of our Scout Group will be undergoing some archery training.

At an awards and presentation night, local Co-operative Committee members, Glenda and Ray presented a cheque for £810 to a patrol of scouts.

"I love archery," said ten-year old Daniel, "at our County Camp, Frostie, I learned the basic skills and hit the gold...WOW!".

Jonathan Chicken, volunteer group manager added, "We're always on the look out to bring new outdoor activities into our group. Archery is a great sport that encourages young people to show self discipline - and to be rewarded with success when they do."

3rd Washington Scout Group is very grateful to the Co-operative's membership who, through their local committee have made a generous donation to increase adventurous opportunities for young people in Washington.
