This week 50 beavers, cubs, scouts and their volunteer leaders visited South Tyneside's Magic Festival. At the Customs House theatre, we were wowed by Magic Mick and Houdini the rabbit and Martin Duffy among other local magicians. Mr. Twister, the balloon magician amazed Cubs with special inflatable creations before finishing his act by climbing inside an enormous balloon.

After a sweet treat during the interval, young people were amazed by Graeme Shaw, the illusionist whose dancing girls vanished into the magicians box. Scouts continued to argue about how the trick was done well into the journey home.

A great night at the theatre truly adding creativity and performance to our balanced programme!

Beavers, Cubs and Scouts often share their adventures together at 3rd Washington Scouts. Through events such as this, young people can take part in a varied and creative programme, supported by each other, young leaders and volunteer adults.
