Scouts appeared on Look North
Scouts had a fantastic time at this year's Confido, but Gemma, Jack and Chris had a unique adventure of their own.

The three of them supported the Durham Scouts media team throughout the weekend. First up, an interview with Sun FM early on Saturday morning, then an appearance on BBC Look North on Sunday talking about how scouting offers fun, challenge and adventure to young people and adults.

If you haven't seen the video yet, it gives a great flavour of what Confido is all about and how important volunteers are to this and every other scout event.

More information about volunteering is available at  www.hls-scouts.org.uk/volunteer.

One of the biggest myths about Scouting is that Groups are closing down due to a lack of young people wanting to become Members. Nothing could be further from the truth; Scouting in the UK is a growing Movement and we currently have 30,000 young people on our waiting lists simply because we do not have enough adults to help out
