Scouts celebrate Bonfire Night and 'save the world'

On Tuesday 3rd November, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders and parents from 3rd Washington and Fatfield Scout groups joined together to celebrate Bonfire Night at Moorhouse Adventure Centre.

The night was cold but that didn't spoil the atmosphere as the 400 strong crowd joined in the singing of some traditional and some not so traditional scout campfire songs around the bonfire. A new song about picking your nose went down a storm as well as the traditional favourite of Oh You'll Never Get to Heaven. Check out our campfire song book for more songs!

After soup and a bun to warm up, everyone was treated to a choreographed fireworks display. The display was set to a story and music about the threat of terrorism to the world before the rockets saved the us.

Our thanks go to everyone who attended and to all of the leaders who made the event happen.
