BALTIC Zip Wire - 20th September 2015

Parents can have an adventure supporting the group
We're looking for 10 adult leaders, young leaders or supporters to participate in the BALTIC Zip Wire event to raise money for 3rd Washington Scouts. The funds raised will be used to purchase new equipment for the group, which will enable us to widen participation and outdoor opportunities for our young people.

The zip wire starts a terrifying 40 metres up from the roof of the BALTIC Flour Mill on the Gateshead side of the river Tyne and ends on the Newcastle Quayside. That’s nearly 140 feet or the height of 10 double-decker buses stacked one on top of the other. The wire itself is 280 metres long and participants reach speeds of up to 40 miles an hour as they speed to the bottom.

Book Your Place for 2015

While you're thinking about signing up, please talk to your employer about matched funding, there are many who do match fund their employees' charity fundraising (here is a list of some of the big companies who do).
