You can take on the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and genuinely change your life. You'll take on three (or four) challenges across a period of time.

The DofE Award is nationally recognised by most sixth forms, colleges and universities (and that's without mentioning pretty much every employer in the UK!). It's an award that will set you above the rest.

Check out just some of the skills you'll pick up opposite - and that's not even mentioning the fun you'll have!

Getting started
We've just launched DofE with the explorer unit, so it's a great time to get involved! 

There are three levels to the award; Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each has slightly different requirements. This page has been written for the Bronze Award. To see the requirements of the other awards, click here.

You'll have to complete four sections of the award; Physical, Skills, Expedition, Volunteering. You can choose what you want to do within these four sections (see below).

Through the Physical section you should achieve a greater physical fitness through participation and improvement in physical activity over a period of time.  The Skills section is all about developing practical and social skills and personal interests. Take up a skill and develop it over a period of time. Achieving your Award is an adventure from beginning to end and this section can give you some of your most memorable experiences! Volunteering is all about making a difference to other people's lives. You'll have to time out to change things for the better can be great fun.
